Fishing Report on Leech Lake—fishing opener—May 2008
May 16-19--“We caught over 100 walleye in 3 days.  Best fishing opener we’ve ever had.  We all brought home our limits!  We’re coming back next year.”

Opening Weekend "This was our best fishing opener since 1996. We caught 80+ fish over 3 days—56 of those were walleye in the slot and 15 walleye over 26 inches. One of our guys caught a 29 inch Walleye! He’s mounting that one! We’re coming back next year!"
