Fishing Report on Leech Lake—fishing opener—May 2009
2009 opener was a huge success. There were many fish caught over 26”. The big ones for the year were a 29”, 30 ¼”, 31 ¼” and a 31 ½”. All 4 big ones were caught between Saturday and Sunday of the fishing opener. People said you could almost close your eyes and catch fish this year. Leech is back to stay.
